Born A Savior Born A King

As the prophets had long promised, the time had finally come for the advent of Jesus, the Son of God. But could this child, born in such humble surroundings, truly be the promised Savior and King? Where were the trumpets and fanfare announcing the Mighty One who would vanquish the enemy and deliver God's people? Could the prophecy be fulfilled with the promise of love and everlasting peace? No armies? No generals? No golden carriage?

From the apparent dichotomy presented by that night in Bethlehem comes the premise for this thoughtful, inspired and tuneful seasonal work. Both the confusion and excitement of that first Christmas is fully explored in song & word, once again uplifting the familiar story that rests in our hearts & minds today.
