One of the most popular melodies from the opera Lohengrin (1848). The opera, by German composer Richard Wagner, is based on a medieval legend. The music is played at the wedding of Lohengrin, a knight of the Holy Grail, and Else of Brabant. Also known as the Bridal Chorus, and to English audiences as Here Comes the Bride, it is most traditionally played for the bride's entrance to the ceremony.
