Philippe Lefebvre is considered one of the foremost representatives of the French organ tradition. He was a student and protege of the Notre-Dame organist and improviser Pierre Cocherequ, and in 1985 was appointed organist titulaire of the grandes-orgues at Chathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris.
His career as a recitalist, soloist with orchestra, as well as his masterclasses have taken him all over the world. HIs straightforward, encouraging and practical approach to improisation make his masterclasses enjoyable, memorable, and above all, helpful.
