The brass ranges are modest, and the tempo is flexible; the chart works beautifully at a leisurely 160 or an edgier 180, so the choice is yours. Solos are for Alto Sax, Trumpet, and Piano, but the solo section may be extended, so this piece works beautifully as an opener, closer, or featured piece for concert and contest. An added vibe part is provided for an extra dash of "cool", but is totally optional. Hook, Line, and Swinger is a refreshing and exciting chart that is fun to play as well as listen to, and is sure to be a mainstay in any library!
