Based on the card game "Happy Families."
How it's played:
- One person shuffles & deals all of the cards. Players attempt to collect a set of all four cards from the same 'family.' Once they have a set, it is placed face up. The dealer starts the game by asking any other single player for a particular card to add to members of a set he already is working on. If the player has the card, he gives it to the dealer & the dealer takes another turn. If the player does not have the card asked for, then it becomes that player's turn.
Who wins:
- The player with the most sets of cards at the end of the game.
What's on the cards:
- 36 cards divided into 'families' of four instruments each (with pictures of each instrument on the cards.)
Families include:
The Angels (Choir) · The Crossbows (String Quartet) · The Woodentops (Woodwind Quartet) · The Blue Notes (Jazz Quartet) · The Brass Tacks (Brass Quartet) · The Crash (Percussion Quartet) · The Folky Blokies (Folk Group) · The Standing Stones (Rock Group) · The Rupees (Indian band).
Who can play: 3 - 6 players, ages 7 and up.
