This piece is designed to be played by combined handbell and handchime choirs, or by a solo handbell choir. If the solo choir option is used, the 2 sections in brackets (mm. 9-12 and mm. 73-76) would be played, and the eight measures of rests (mm. 49-56) would be omitted so the players would go directly from m. 48 to m. 57. If the combined handbell and handchime option is chosen, the piece would be played as printed with the handbell choir taceting in mm. 9-12 and mm. 73-76. Two editions are available: 4-5 octave handbell choir with optional 2-3 octave handchime choir 15876601. 2-3 octave handbell choir with optional 2-3 octave handchime choir 15876600. The 2 editions are compatible for massed ringing situations.
