Commissioned by and dedicated to the Fruita Middle School Band of Fruita, Colorado. This popular work by Akey if based on works from the Renaissance. The Giles Farnaby book, Fitzwillian Virginal Book is where the three tunes were found that are used in the arrangement. Each tune represents a major section of the work and brief transitional periods separate the tunes. The Farnaby melodies are A Toye, Tell mee Daphne, and The New-Sahoo.
