Through a diversity of educational experiences, teachers are
involved in an interactive environment that addresses the most relevant topics
in the piano teaching profession. Participants, scholars, artists, composers and
authors as well as pedagogues and educators, interact in the process of learning
and discovering new concepts and materials for successful teaching.

The National Piano Institute for Teachers
& Young Artists now includes a performance-oriented experience for students,
ages 6-18, that have completed at least one year of piano study. The dates are
July 6 - 11, 2009. All students will participate in daily lessons, classes and
ensembles in a fun-filled week of learning with SMU faculty and staff. Cost for
Beginners: $325.00; Intermediate: $325; Advanced: $375.
