Brothers Sing On!
Oregon State University
February 16, 2010-01-06
2007 marked the first year of The OSU Men’s Chorus Festival. Through the years the goal has remained constant: male choristers gain new appreciation for male ensemble singing and participation in their own choral programs. As a part of their festival experience, high school males will have the opportunity to sing with more than 200 male voices, representing high schools throughout Oregon, in addition to singing with The OSU Meistersingers and a special guest performance by Outspoken, OSU's premier men's a cappella ensemble. The festival includes a day of rehearsals with Dr. Steven Zielke and Russ Christensen of the OSU Music Department, and will conclude with an evening concert featuring a mass chorus of festival participants together with the OSU Meistersingers.
Schools are encouraged to bring their entire male ensemble and participate in the final evening concert. Participants are to bring their own copies of the music in black choral folders. No additional copies of it will be provided at the event, and photocopies will not be permitted. For more information about
