"MOUNTAIN DANCE" contains three Appalachian folk songs: "Cluck, Old Hen", "Sourwood Mountain" and "Poor Polly". It was written to depict the Appalachian region of the country and its heritage of bluegrass music and fine musicianship. You will hear hints of Irish music, as many of the folk songs from this area were developed by the Irish immigrants who settled this part of the country. All of these images are evoked in a truly symphonic setting by composer Ed Keifer.
