(12" by 16" Matted Artwork)
Thelonious Bach - related to his alleged younger brother, Thelonious Brahms. Is Thelonious Bach a person or a philosophical concept? Enter Jeff Laibson's world of musically inspired art - flowing and melodic, full of rhythm, movement and silence. The emotionally evocative paintings are a joy to behold and a treasure to own.
The artist, a Berklee-trained jazz musician, instructor, and composer, takes his original works of art, and renders giclee (sprayed ink) reproductions that are all printed on watercolor paper using archival inks. Images measure 7" by 9 1/2" (or 9 1/2" by 7"), which are then matted in black, resulting in a finished dimension of 12" by 16" (or 16" by 12").
"The greatest thing Thelonious Bach ever did was to convince the world that he played backup piano for the late, great Barry White, even while no one ever knewif he was indeed a real pianist or a fake one." - Theo Brahms, 1999.
