The first in IP's extensive concert snare series, the IP-1 is excellent for general concert snare use. Constructed from heartwood for a denser and slightly heavier feel, IP-1s are designed slightly thicker and longer for increased control and balance. The elongated oval bead creates a darker sound, while the short shoulder increases the tip weight for better response at lower dynamic levels.
