This Dover edition, first published in 1990, is a republication of of the works originally published separately: Songs of the Wayfarer by Josef Weinberger, Leipzig, 1897, and Songs of the Deaths of Children by C. F. Kahnt Nachfolger, Leipzig, 1905. a table of contents, lists of instruments and new English translatins of the texts have been added.
